HLFHI_2747Our project is open to people of all ages from the Ballysally area (parental consent for participation in the project will be required for those under the age of 18.)

If you are up for exploring our local heritage, learning new skills , meeting new people of all ages and working as a team to produce our book (and even lead local heritage tours), we’d love to hear from you! If you are up for sharing our heritage story in lots of exciting ways, we’d love to hear from you too : the Ballysally “Time Team” NEEDS YOU!

No previous experience of working on a heritage project is required. No knowledge of the Coleraine Plantation, the Charter of 1613 or local history is required (although we really welcome those of you who do know a thing or two about our local history too!). No special certificates or paper qualifications are required to participate. (And if you’re reading this and thinking “I’d love to do this but I don’t think I have the confidence or skills to join in .. and I’m not even sure what the word “heritage” means!” ~ relax : we have it covered. We’ll make sure you get everything you need to make the contribution you want! We’ll help you to discover your strengths – and play to them :))

We are looking for 25 people to become part of a project team who want to share a rewarding and fun experience of exploration and learning. We’ll provide you with all the necessary training, a hefty dose of fun and a wee dollop of adventure to boot : and you’ll have a story or two to tell afterwards 🙂
